A bill that would curtail the voting powers of Pennsylvania ’s school
boards in election years encountered stiff resistance today from members of the
House Education Committee.
The legislation, which sailed through the Senate
a week ago, was left on the committee’s back burner and won’t be considered
before lawmakers break for their summer recess in the coming days, said
committee Chairman Paul Clymer, R-Bucks.
