Brett Schaffer of the Education Law Center is blogging live from the Senate Floor covering SB1

Brett Schaffer of the Education Law Center is blogging live from the Senate Floor covering SB1.  You can follow his blog on the PA School Talk website at:

Please call your Senator right now (numbers pasted below) to ask them to vote NO on SB1.

If you need help with what to say here's a suggestion:

I am a constituent in your district and I am calling to ask you to vote "No" on SB 1 this week.

This bill will raise local property taxes, and create a NEW government program that will cost hundreds of millions of dollars, while the state faces a $4 billion deficit.  The public does not support sending taxpayer money to private schools that are not accountable to taxpayers.
