The Senate Education Committee is holding a public hearing on SB 1 on Wednesday, February 16th. Click here to see the agenda for the hearing
The agenda runs from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm and is slated to include PA Secretary of Education Designate Ronald Tomalis, the REACH Alliance, the Education Law Center, Students First, PSEA, the Black Alliance for Educational Options, AFT, Center for Education Reform, PA Association of School Administrators, the Commonwealth Foundation and PSBA.
Following next week's hearing by the Senate Education Committee, SB 1 could move from the committee to the Senate floor at any time after that.
Now is the time for you to talk with your senator to discuss your concerns with SB 1 and ask for a "No" vote.
Established in 2006, the Keystone State Education Coalition is a growing grass roots, non-partisan public education advocacy group of several hundred locally elected, volunteer school board members and administrators from school districts throughout Pennsylvania.
