Archdiocese doesn't want charter school at empty building

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is not interested in renting out the former Immaculate Conception Grade School in Bristol Township to a group that wants to start a charter school, archdiocesan spokeswoman Donna Farrell said. Farrell said a K-8 charter school could hurt enrollment at area Catholic grade schools and that the archdiocese would essentially be hurting itself by renting out one of its empty buildings for a charter school.
