Funding was put on hold this year for the Keystone Exams, a series of state graduation tests, but the cramming continues to prepare for 2012-13 when the tests begin to carry consequences for students.  The end-of-course tests in Algebra I, Biology and Literature that were field tested last spring are ready to go.
On Wednesday, the State Board of Education established the "cut scores" for those three exams that separate the performance categories of below basic, basic, proficient and advanced. It also approved descriptions for each of those categories.
