I have been waiting for a slow news day to send this out. 

Here's a recap of some of the public education advocacy work that has been unfolding throughout Pennsylvania.  Planning efforts are underway in several additional counties.  What are you doing in your district?

In March, Public education leaders from Clinton, Clearfield and Centre Counties formed the Central Pennsylvania Public School Coalition

In May, Eight Hundred Chester County School Parents met with their Legislators to discuss public education funding.

In July, 150 parents, teachers and legislators rallied in Fayette County to oppose budget cuts and stand up for public education.

In September, "Education Matters in the Cumberland Valley", made up of parents, educators, students, administrators and community members, met for a dialogue about the state of education in Pennsylvania and across the nation.

In September, educators, legislators, school directors and community members met to discuss standing up for public education in the Laurel Highlands
