Facing what district officials called an unprecedented fiscal crisis, Harrisburg School District officials laid out plans tonight to shed 226 employees and close four school buildings in the upcoming school year.
The job losses — and higher class sizes sure to result — come as the district has already committed to dropping its in-house vocational and technical program and end its full-day kindergarten classes.
